Lesson #10

Choose one of the following topics. Write a post and publish it. It would be nice if your post included a photo. Remember that it has to be your own photo.

1. J.L. Runeberg
Write about the author, his life and family – but also about the way in which we celebrate the day named after him. You can also write about other Finnish authors. Which are your favorite? Tell us about the author who visited our school for Runeberg’s Day 2013. Be careful not to use other people’s materials on this one. It is illegal to publish someone else’s text and pretend that it is yours.

2. Write about internet security. Tell us about the toilet installation in our school. How was it related to internet security? Watch at least 4 short movies behind this link and write about them as well.
Short films about internet security

3. Tell us about one of the school projects that you are involved in. Are you in Wat’s Fair? Or Two Towns? Or Can I Help You? Maybe you have been working on something interesting in Home Economics or Handicrafts or some other subject? Many interesting events are taking place in our school, share some of your experiences with our readers.

4. Write about living abroad. Do you know anyone who is an exchange student or has been one? Would you like to be one? Some people move abroad to play sports or to work. Do you know anyone who has done that? Would you like to do that? Where would you like to live? What do you think would be the best and the hardest parts of living abroad?

5. George Orwell’s Animal Farm.
Give us your own opinion about the novel. You will also have to tell us what happens in the book. Choose this topic only if you really have something to say about the book. You can also choose another novel to write about, just change the topic. Be careful not to use other people’s materials on this one. It is illegal to publish someone else’s text and pretend that it is yours.
