Amazing trip to Uppsala!

by miimuska

So I’m involved in this Comenius project, so we flew to Uppsala to see the others students who are also involved in this project. On 21, April we flew to Uppsala. The flight took only 45 min so it was quite fast 😀 We went to the hostel and then we left to the city tour. There one of the swedish teacher’s husband told us something about Uppsala. It was really interesting and we saw really beautiful cathedral and castle.

Next day we went to school and there we introduced our schools and countries.(Then we just studied). On Tuesday we went to school and we tested diffent kind of waters so we studied again haha 😀 but it was fun!

And some of us saw Justin Bieber when he were coming out of the gallery! Anyway we ate lunch at the famous Hard rock cafe! It was pretty cool.

Tolerance is a life-skill

by Jazzy

Tolerance is something that everyone should know about. It is respecting, accepting, but first of all it is diversity. And our school is very much teaching us precious life-skills like tolerance. For instance we spent Day of Tolerance on last Thursday (21.3.). It was a five hours long day with plenty of organized programs. The main theme of the day was (of course) tolerance and racism.

Our school is pretty big – approx. 500 students, so it was lots of sweating for the students and teachers who were organizing the day. There was a Racism Path where the student were put into groups to think about everyday-racism that is there but nobody ever notices. As a little helper student on Racism Path, I can tell that the students really were thinking about the little bad things that we can make better. This Racism Path was a great reminder for all of us I think. 🙂

We were also honored to have two special guests to keep speeches; a man from Unicef, and congressman, Jani Toivola, from the parliament. The Unicef presentation was great – sometimes we don’t remember how well things are in Finland.  Little reminders like these make us be more grateful for what we have. 🙂

And I must say that Jani Toivola was just super inspiring with his speech!  That one hour just flew! The audience was going woooh already in the beginning before he even started! I think it was because of the strong contact he made with us. Jani Toivola is not only a congressman but also an actor and very known in Finland. And the funny thing is that he studied in our school back in 90’s. So yay!  ;)))

This lovely day didn’t end there  – there was also a little play that some students were acting in. And the theme was once again, tolerance. So it was a nice and funny thing to end our day.

Happy Schooling! 🙂

Day of tolerance in our school! :)

by ingamau

On last week’s Thursday, we had a Day of Tolerance in our school. We didn’t have any normal lesson because we had all kinda of different activities that was arranged to us. We have every year one day like this in our school :). We talked about different cultures and racism. Jani Toivola also kept a speech in our school. He’s a man that almost everyone knows, like a little celebrity and he’s also a member of parliament. The speech was VERY good and he told us about his own experiences about racism, because his skin color is black. There was also a little “fashion show” where was introduced different countries  national costumes. Then we walked around the school and there was games and thing to do which was connected to day of tolerance. The whole day was really nice and it’s good that our school organize things like this! 🙂

Day of tolerance

by petsku1337

We had a special day in our school about tolerance. We had different tasks to do with our class. We were told about people that can’t live as we do. People can’t go to school because it’s too expensive or even have clean food and water. It’s unbelievable that how much people there are suffering and most of us don’t do anything to help them. We had 2 guests at our school talking about those things. It was a intreresting and instructive day. There are many ways to help families around the poor countries. Donating just a little bit of money will help alot in their country.

DAY OF TOLERANCE

by sampokylmanen

Our school had a ”Day of Tolerance” last week. For me, it was pretty much just preparing the musical theater show i was a part of. We failed everything lol.

A political activist and former entrepreneur Jani Toivola visited our school too.

After all it was cool because we had a short and easy day 🙂

Day of tolerance

by miimuska

Last Thursday we had this special day, day of tolerance. I saw amazing fashion and dance shows! The idea of fashion show was really good. There were clothes from different countries like Russia, Estonia, Thailand and Vietnam. After that one man came here to tell us about how badly things are in poor countries in Africa. It really made me think about how well things are here in Finland. Anyway before the end of the day me and my musical theatre group we showed our play it’s called ”Free your mind” and it tells something about tolerance.

Tolerance

by petsku1337

Tolerance is a hard subject to talk about. There is so much bad happening around the world. It is important to treat anybody just as good as you would treat yourself. Racism against age group, religion or even against an individual is forbidden, but still people do it. Minority’s experience lots of racism, which is not acceptable. People should learn to live with each other or just simply leave people that they don’t like alone. Racism is not good by any means, it only causes bad things to happen. People should learn to get along with anybody. Skin color, hairstyle or clothes do not matter. We are all equal.

My studies after junior high

by sampokylmanen

I’m planning on studying music after upper school. I applied for Sibelius-lukio, which is like a high school in the U.S. but it’s focused on music industry. You can study instruments, composing, music technology, musical theory and stuff like that in there. I sing, play drums, bass and guitar, so that place has so much to offer for me. I also applied for Music Conservatory, which is basically like a vocational school of music. If you get there, you can almost say you will become a musician. Unless you drop out lol. And the inadequacy of actual studying there fascinates me. My school grades have gotten much worse and seriously i am not interested in studying basic subjects anymore.. at all. So the conservatory would be the best choice for me. I don’t know what to do in my life, if not music. That’s kinda bad but super rad haha

Winter sports are fun!

by ingamau

Downhill skiing, badminton, skating, floorball, basketball.. Lot’s of fun things to choose for sports day :). We had a sports day before our winter holiday. I chose the badminton. It was fun to just chill and play with friends. Of course I would have liked to downhill ski. Actually we have a ski slope right in the center of Porvoo 🙂 . So it’s easy to just go there because its short way there. Here’s some photos from Kokonniemi.

KOKONNIEMI-3Kokonniemi_DSC_0616

I think it’s good that our school organize days like this. Good change for studying :). And it was good that there was so many sorts of sport to choose so everybody could pick what they want and that’s how they made the day fun for everyone!

Honoring Finland’s National Poet

by Jazzy

February 5th is one of those day’s when Finnish flag is held high and we all recall a great Finnish poet and writer  J.L. (Johan Ludvig) Runeberg and his respected wife (also a writer) Fredrika Runeberg. Back then, around 1800’s Finland was getting more and more independent. And writers’ and artists’ job was a big part of that. Luckily, the wave of romanticism and poetry was all over the world of arts, which made it “easier” for writers and artists to get folks turn to nationalism. Poets, writers and painters started put aside the ugly sufferings caused by war, and highlight the beauty and love of same nationed people had for their fatherland. In the literature they describe how this small nation fought bravely to for their mother language and fatherland. For example Runeberg wrote stories and poems on how beautiful it was that young men (around 15 years) left home to fight and make their people proud. And in most poems beauty is captured by describing the young lovers who got separated by war. I think this way of thinking about war was a pretty clever way of creating great art that captures people’s attention in something else than hatred.

On the latest Runeberg’s day we had the pleasure of having an author guest, Maria Peura, to tell us about writer’s job. We have a creative writing course in our school and the students of the class had listed bunch of questions for Maria Peura. Maybe even too many questions. It was pity that she didn’t get to all the questions, because the time ran out. But I guess it is just a sign that shows how much we all enjoyed that little gig. Time just flew!
Maria Peura is an award-winning author and also a columnist of our city’s local paper. And of course she wrote a piece about us too. You can find the column text here:

FACTS ABOUT RUNEBERG:

Lived: 5. February. 1804 – 6. May 1877

Nationality: Was a Finn but spoke Swedish

Hometown: Porvoo

Professions: a journalist, author, poet and headmaster of the highschool of Porvoo

Family: Had a wife (Fredrika Runeberg, writer) and six sons (who all became artists)

Some of the most famous creations:

Vänrikki Stoolin tarinat (eng. The tales of Ensign Stål)

Finland’s National Anthem (eng. Our Land)

Runeberg’s tart (1st time made by Runeberg’s wife Fredrika).
If you’ll get a chance to eat these, I warmly recommend! DELICIOUS!

” An unexpected journey “

by miimuska

February, 27

On Sunday evening I left from home to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport where I was supposed to meet my teachers and six other students. We had this comenius project and there was four country including Finland involved this project. The theme of the project was “Water and Earth”.

This time the meeting country was France. So we were ready to go! We flew to Amsterdam, but unfortunately the plane was delayed so in Amsterdam we didn’t have time to change our plane. We slept in Amsterdam and in the morning we flew to the Paris and there to Toulouse. Finally we arrived! In Toulouse we did workshops and tested diffent waters with students from Sweden, Great Britain, France and Bulgaria.

One day we had a daytrip and we went to the Carcassonne ( it’s like an old town). It was really beautiful place and we had spare time there too!.

The daytrip in Toulouse

by valtsusworlds

The day started in a bus. The bus took us to Canal du Midi where the water splits in two directions, one direction goes to the Atlantic ocean and the other goes to Mediterranean sea. The place itself was interesting and beautiful. I learned new things. After Canal du midi the bus took us to a historical castle, La Cité. The castle was in Carcassonne, 90km southeast from Toulouse. The castle was interesting and we had lunch in a little restaurant inside the castle. After lunch we had two hours free time to roam around the castle. We went with my friend to a little candy shop. I bought a lollipop. I ate the lollipop and took a lot of pictures of the castle which was in fact enormous. After the pictures were taken the bus took us back to the hotel in Toulouse.

After all i had a great and exciting day, hope you enjoy this text!

Moving on..

by petsku1337

It is time to leave the upper-level school and separate with your friends. You either go to high school, vocational school or business school. It is a hard choice since there is so many schools to choose from. Quite many people choose high school since it’s a good solid choice. High school is for people that are into studying subjects more than doing practical work. Vocational school is also a popular choice because it has a lot of different jobs to learn about, for example. Chef, plumber, vehicle mechanic, hairdresser and process operator. And last but not the least the business school. The business school also has classes for adults which are optional of course. Business school also has lots of different jobs, for example. Salesman, practical nurse and customer service. I am going to go to the vocational school myself. I am fed up with studying all the time so i also want to do work myself.

Animal Farm written by George Orwell

by petsku1337

Last week i read a book named ”Animal Farm”. It is a classic book which i had never heard about before. As a Finn it’s not that important to know this particular book. Anyway it is a known book all around the world and also the writer is know from his other books such as ”Nineteen Eighty-Four”. Animal Farm is a excellent book, it’s well written, interesting and easy to read.  As the story goes there is a farm, a manor farm that is owned by a old man that has a very close relationship with alcohol. The animal are fed up with the man and so they take over the farm. The battle was bloody and rough but the animals won it. After the animals have taken over the farm, they re-name it as ”Animal Farm”. At first the animals are all equal, but after some time the old boar decides to take over the farm and be the ruler of the farm. The main goals for all the animals is to live without humans and also build a windmill. The animals get the windmill done a few times, but every time something happens and it collapses, sometimes its the wind that makes it collapse and sometimes it’s the humans fault. The time goes by and the animals get older and older and don’t have the strength to build the windmill anymore. The animals are thinking about having humans to help them for the last days that they have.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,500 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

Water

by valtsusworlds

Water is to me a way of life. I use it everyday of my life, my life depends on it. I can`t  imagine how empty my life would be without water. My life would change tragically. I don`t know how to describe the feeling what people for example in Africa have. They can`t use water as much as they want, what is not nice. The politicians have the hardest question, how to use water less and how to exploit it ? That question is not simple but here are my thoughts on it. We all have to use water less in shower, human spends water 50 liters every time you go in to shower and that is way too much. I think that all mankind who have lot of water should donate more water to places where people don`t have that much water.

Hope you enjoy this text!

Water & Earth

by miimuska

November 22

What does water mean to me? It’s a very important question. Water is important to our health. We need about two liters of water every single day! We also need to wash up with warm water, because we are used to use warm water. But I think that we should take shorter showers and the same time we save some water.

Water can also produce electricity, it’s called by hydroelectric plant.

What about them who doesn’t have any water? I think that people should send more donations to countries where is a huge shortage of water. They could build a well in their villages that all the residents would get some water.

We sould be happy that we get clean water!

Earth & Water

by petsku1337

Today we discussed about the importance of water. As a Finn water means ice to me, and ice means ice hockey. Here in Finland we have unlimited sources of water, so we’re fine here in Finland. In developing countries they might not have water for daily uses. It’s sad to hear that every child don’t have water to drink. Without water they can’t make food and without food there’s no life. I think every country that can send food and water to developing countries should send at least a little bit, because even a little bit of food and water will help them. And if every country sends even a little bit, all together it would be a lot. People might not know how bad their standard of living is, so they don’t notice it and that’s why people don’t care. I know that some countries do help them but there is still countries that could help them but for some reason they don’t. Helping them is important but they will also have to do something so we wouldn’t have to send them resources for the rest of their lives. For example when we send them water and seeds, they’ll have to grown them and make food on their own. It’s important that they will learn how to survive without any help, because one day we might not be able to send them anything and if they haven’t learned to do anything on their own they’ll be in big troubles. Food and water isn’t the only thing they need. In developing countries there are lots of different diseases, and they don’t have anything to protect themselves from those diseases. That’s why countries send them vaccines for those diseases. It’s hard to try to heal everyone, because the populations are very high. It’s still going to take a long time to make those countries safe and good place to live, but we’re getting there little by little.

“My home town of Porvoo”

by argjirabudeci

This is my home town. Porvoo  is located in the south coast in Finland. The city has a population of 48 970.

The city is bilingual; 64.8 percent of the population is Finnish, Swedish 30.9 percent and 4.3 percent in other languages.

These houses are typical of houses in Porvoo and the colour red is too.

Porvoo is very beuatiful place to visit in the summer and in the winter also. In the summers the sunset is  gorgeus and in the winter the Christmas tree and Christmas decorations are beautiful.

Now it is fall and the nature is beautiful the trees are in colors red, yellow and orange.

I hope that you all enjoy the  photos that i took 🙂

♥The Old Porvoo♥

by ingamau

I’m going to tell you about Porvoo. Actually about the Old Porvoo. 🙂 I think the first thing I do, is add one photo to show you, how our old Porvoo looks like.

Porvoo is known from old Porvoo and every summer, thousands of tourists visit in old Porvoo. Lots of tourists come from Japan or Germany. There is so many lovely shops and boutiques in old town and you can buy nice souvenirs from there. Old Porvoo is great place to visit in summer or winter. Christmas time is so nice! Every place is decorated and shops are full of Christmas things and you can really find some nice presents to buy! The houses and buildings in Old Town are very old. Most of them are from 1700’s -1800’s. In summer.. like I earlier said.. it’s full of people! Sometimes you just have to walk with a group. There is nice museums in Old Porvoo which you can visit. Those museums tells about Old Porvoo and its history, which I think is interesting. 🙂

I think Porvoo is nice place to live and worth of seeing 🙂

Have a nice autumn!

My home town Porvoo

by petsku1337

My home town Porvoo, is one of the oldest cities in Finland. Porvoo is a pretty small town but in my opinion it has lots of interesting places to visit. Such as the old town.

The old town is full of beautiful old buildings but there’s also old boats and restaurants by the riverside.

There’s also an old fire station that I’m interested in. It was started in 1867 and its the oldest fire station here in Porvoo. It’s still in use and they get around 100 alarms in a year, which is quite a lot for a small fire station like this.

There’s also a small mini-golf course at the end of the riverside. If you like playing golf in a small scale then  go try it.

The City of “Castle River”

by Jazzy

An ordinary red wooden house. 🙂

Once upon a time, back in 1800’s there was a small city located in Southern Finland. The city was called Castle River. The name of the city is a direct translation of its Swedish name “Borgå”.
The people of Castle River were very ordinary but also very determinate and strong.

They managed together the cold winter nights by holding boiled potatoes inside their robes. They took care of their livestock in their small back yard to survive the cold winters when there was no green food available. But there was bad sides in the summers as well. When the winter was over, it was summer again and there was a bigger risk for their wooden houses to get on fire and burn down the whole town. And that happened very often, but as I mentioned these people were very determinate and they never give up building their homes again and again. So life back then wasn’t so easy…

Nowadays this Castle River is called Porvoo. Porvoo is of course a lot bigger and very much more modern… But once again, these people have been so intelligent that they didn’t destroy the visual parts of the history of this town like many other countries have done to their historical cities. We have a part of Porvoo that is called “Old Porvoo”. And it really takes you back in history but in a typical way. Culture lives forever in the Old Town.
There are many little boutiques that are crowded with people every summer. Kids usually buy ice cream from ice cream stands and just enjoy the warm atmosphere while adults go to the “boring” boutiques. But one thing you should remember is to not leave  the little child alone into the big crowd!!

I took some pictures of the Old Porvoo last week, so here they are! I hope you like them. 🙂

An ice cream stand where I definitely love to buy a chocolate ice cream in hot summer days.

Such a foggy day!

Taking photos in the city.

by mimiia

we got a cangy to our teacher

Hello everyone !

About a week ago we were taking pictures in our town whit our class. I take pictures to my own camera. First we take a buss to the city, then we walk everywhere and take pictures. I walk with Suvi, Marika and Henna.  We took pictures for about an hour and then we go to the bus stop where the bus took us to the school. I like that trip a lot. I do not know what I should write about this travel, Porvoo is a wonderful city and there are beautiful places. I am glad that I live here.  There really are some great places, as you can see these all images.  You have to see this town! (:

The city of Porvoo!

by valtsusworlds

In this first picture you can see landscape of Porvoo. The picture shows nearly half of the center of Porvoo. As you see Porvoo is not that big city 😀

In this second photo, my friend is under the Porvoo Bridge. The bridge is about 50 years old. Behind my friend you can see a little bit of old Porvoo. That part of Porvoo is way too old :D. But after all Porvoo is great city and i hope you like the photos! 🙂 Cheers!

hi i`m exit!

by hennaa111

Hi!

In our school we have exit student`s, their job is  help the other student`s to go out because some of the students don`t want to go out and they are inside. Well I have to say that is really cold outside and I sometimes just want to be inside, but we have to go and the exit`s keep care of that we go out 🙂 You can`t be a exit if you have detention from being inside, luckily I don`t have it so I can be a exit! My exit shift is on Mondays, and I work whit a girl who is in the same class than me, and we are really good friends so it`S really easy to us to work together!

I am in exit duty!

by mardisss

I am in exit duty with one boy. We are downstairs and I never remember to go there, I always forget!! But next time I will go , I promise ! I think that exit thing is good ,because students get  responsibility and a little bit of confidence about themselves. So when we have break, we have to go out. If we don’t exit students come and say “go out now ” if that doesn’t work they written my name and then they give that paper ours principal or someone else teacher. Then we get detention.

“Out. NOW!”

by Jazzy

I have a very very lovely school! There are SO many interesting activities for us students to do to make our school more comfy. One very great example of these activities is EXIT -students! I know, sounds weird… but let me explain.

In our school we have to go out for a 15 mins long break after eeevery lesson (exp. after lunch break). And as many might already know, Finland’s weather isn’t the best after summer – less sunlight and more of grey clouds. So nobody wants to go out and get their hair frizzy… simple as that. And there has always been a “war” between we students and teachers under this topic. UNTIL students found a way to “please” teachers and be okay themselves too. That’s why we have a group of students called EXIT -students who make sure we go out between lessons and our dear teachers get to take their coffee break. Great, huh?

Our school got the idea from another junior high school of Porvoo in Student’s Goverment -meetings couple years ago. And then another group of students (called ‘trust’ students) took this mission and developed the idea. And of course, in cooperation with teachers. 😉

There are many good points in being an EXIT-student. But not everybody gets to be one. Because you have to have no detention from latest period.

1) You don’t need to go out when it’s your turn to be control others.

2) You can give detention to those bad girls and boys who break the rules and don’t go out.

3) You get to take your revenge of your class mates who (probably) annoy you sometimes.

4) You get wear a skirt like this:

I recommend this activity for schools alll around the world with break problems. 😀

“Exit student”

by argjirabudeci

Hello everyone!

Here in my school Exit duty is a fun way to say to student “OUT NOW”. Exit duty is a student who says everyone to go out in a break.  You put a shirt on and then it is fun!!

The shirt  is an “EXIT” shirt for everyone to know that you are an exit student. But if sometimes the weather is not good if it rains or it’ s cold we can stay indoors:)

On every break 2-4 students will have a list in their hand where they can put the students name in it if they don’t go outside.  And if your name has been in the list 2 times then you get detention. Bad for them!!:)

Exit-students :d

by ingamau

Well.. in our school, we have to go out on breaks what we have between different lessons. But usually.. no one wants to go out, so in our school we have exit-students. They drive us out, and if we didn’t obey, they put our names to list. And when you have two notes in that list, you get detention. :c .

Exit-students have to wear shirt like this. So that’s how we recognize them. 🙂 If you wanted to be a exit-student, you had to went to exit-education, which took only one break (15 minutes). The meaning of these students is that everybody would go out and get some fresh air. 🙂 But I admit that sometimes it’s annoying to go out if there was cold or not good weather :s

Of course, if it rains, or it’s very cold, we don’t have to go out and we can be indoors 🙂

exit students

by jjooeell97

in our school we have exit students. Every break someone student check that everyone is going out. If you don’t go out you will be got detention. and that is not funny =). but if there is bad weather you don’t have to go outside. But i am not exit student because i don’t want.

Exit students in our school

by petsku1337

In our school we have these students which are not just any regular students, they’re exit students. Every year teachers choose some students from our school to be exit students. It’s optional, you don’t have to participate in it if you don’t want to. On every break, 2 or 3 students walk around the school and tell people to go outside or they’ll get their names on a list and get detention, because in our school breaks must be spent outdoors, unless its raining. I think teachers came up with this idea because they don’t have time to watch the corridors themselves. I like to spend breaks outside, so they’re not a problem to me, but of course there is some students that would  like to stay inside.

The Miracle of the Fall

by Jazzy

This summer has gone by so FAST! Tomorrow we’ll get to do our first exam of the year >>> math’s exam. I still recall the hot summer days by the beach or the warm summer nights enjoying the sunset by the waterfront. Ahhh… Why are summer vacations so short in Finland? I’m already kinda feeling like I need more of vacation.

But it is always fun to move into the colors of the fall. Finnish fall is so beautiful specially for its sunrises. Sun rises pretty late here compared to other countries. But it doesn’t bother me because I get to enjoy my walk to school. And the other good thing about fall is that nights here aren’t like tea time in other Southern countries. Fall is probably the only season that is totally balanced. I just L-L-L-Love ittt!  In my listings, spring has the 2nd place instead of 1st because it’s  much like summer.
But Fall is different. Fall is unique. In Fall everything living gets ready to go to sleep. But still all the fantastic colors keep reminding us of the love and warmth we’ve received from the nature.
All the orange, red, yellow, brown colors in the trees are a message for us humans.

“It’s time for us to rest. But don’t be sorry. For it’s time for joy. We’ll be back even sooner that you think. And we will be younger, greener and fresher. We are just like Phoenix. The only difference is that we reborn with cold, And Phoenixes with fire.
‘Til the next spring, Take care. “

Sports in our school

by petsku1337

We have lots of things to do at brake, such as playing football or basketball.

Football is usually more popular than basketball, sometimes it gets so crowded that you probably won’t even get to touch the ball. We have to bring our own footballs and basketballs to the school so if nobody has a football, we’ll play basketball.

Everybody has leave, when we are little bit late. Then we call ours teacher and they guide we to go down the beach. Mayby it was little bit fun 😀 Finally we came in Kokonniemi, There was tug of war and ours classes lose.

Food

There was a lot of food! Sausages, meat pie, apples, juices, mustard, ketchup and candies. I liked to food, but Suvi didn’t like.  But the meat pie was little bit dry. Our school had arranged a nice thing, if you took the garbage you got candy. The candy was good.

Hurray, Sports Day!!

by Jazzy

Yesterday was one of those fun days spent outdoors with friends. We didn’t have a regular school day – we had SPORTS ONLY! The day was altogether very fun and well-organized. There were many great little competitions and things to do in group or alone. Such as rope pulling, walking on stilts, darts and horseshoes. The weather was great too!

We 9th graders, started the day with a motorcycle challenge track while the rest of the school started walking to a nice picnic place beside Porvoo River. The challenge track competition was really fun to watch. Really liked it. There was some really good riders tying it out!!!  After that, we went to the picnic place too. It was such a long walk from our school to the river. But it didn’t feel as long as it really was because of quiz marks pinned on the trees. Right after we arrived, it was time for rope pulling competition of the 9th graders! I was pulling too. 😉 But unfortunately my class didn’t win.

The rest of the day was pretty relax. There was some traditional games that we could go and play or we could just sit by the water with friend and enjoy the sun. It was a nice day. I liked it. 🙂
Now I’m just looking forward to the spring’s Sports Day.

Wishing Everyone a Joyful Fall!

by sampokylmanen

Listening to OMNOM, English Club lesson in da computer room….. it’s pretty chill.

Guess i’ll go home soon ’cause i can barely breathe ’cause of my throat ache.

Every breath i take is like Darth Vader speaking, y’know?

But yeah, i think i said what i wanted to say. Or maybe i didn’t even want to post a post like this.

In fact, i didn’t want to post anything much. I just thought i’d make my teacher proud of me.

Sports day

by petsku1337

We had a sports day yesterday ( November 4th, 2012 ). The day started with a moped and bicycle trick track.  Few students took part in it. It was fun to watch and they all did well.  After that we walked and walked for a long time through the forest and over the hills. It was a long walk and just when i felt like i couldn’t go any further we finally arrived to our destination. We had a few tasks to do while we were there, such as rope pulling, darts, quiots and some other traditional games. It was a fun day overall.

by Jazzy

Hello everyone!

I’m Yasaman, a nine grader student writing from Finland. Today the members of English Club 9, including me, signed up to social network Twitter. The idea is supporting language learning, without the boring paper work. In this case we are learning English.
To me, SOUNDS GREAT! And I think it also sounds great to the other student in this group.

I was already joined, but I made a new account for school. If you’re interested, you can follow me on @JazzySunny_  https://twitter.com/JazzySunny_
